Purcellville, Virginia is a small town located in Western Loudoun County, about an hour west of Washington D.C. Despite it’s small size, there are plenty of activities to enjoy in and around Purcellville. Here are a few suggestions of fun things to do -
Local wineries in no particular order - Purcellville is located in the heart of wine country, so there are plenty of wineries to visit in the area. Some popular options include - Walsh Family Winery, 868 Estate Vineyards, Breaux Vineyards and Hillsborough Vineyards to name a few.
Get out! Go hiking and Biking: The Appalachian Trail runs through Purcellville, and there are several other hiking and biking trails in the area. Including the W&OD Trail and the Washington and Old Dominion Railroad Regional Park. So get out and enjoy the beautiful Western Loudoun scenery.
Explore downtown Purcellville. The downtown area has a charming historic district with plenty of shop and restaurants to explore. Let’s support those small and local businesses.
